Digital Autocult Yearbook & Cezeta 505 Karosa Krilo 1967 by Autocult

Best regards from the trainee workshop!

The new, 184-page book “AutoCult” Edition 2026 isn’t just any book—it’s the book for automotive enthusiasts who want to learn more about forgotten cars, brands, developments, and automotive designers. Whether rare, fast, or crazy—many fascinating stories combined with historical context, accompanied by numerous historical photos and images of the AutoCult models from the year 2026, make this book a must-have for anyone interested in automotive history. As we do every year, we’re including the book in “digital” form on a USB drive. A youth competition was the catalyst that inspired the aspiring skilled workers at the “Karosa” company in the early 1960s to pour all their expertise into building three-wheelers—similar to rickshaws. The result was two visually striking vehicles. Both models remained one-of-a-kind, and over the next few years, someone apparently came up with the idea of reviving the tricycles sitting in a corner—in a new form. It became clear that one of the tricycles was to be converted into a vehicle that resembled an airplane in appearance—but only in appearance! The project was finally realized in 1967. The trainees stuck to the basic rickshaw design, which meant that the front end—with its steerable front wheel—and the rear axle were reused. A 350 cm³ JAWA engine with 18 PS provided the power. The visual elements of a modern jet aircraft were unmistakable: two subtly hinted-at wings and a fixed rudder at the tail recreated the look. An enclosed cockpit provided space for the driver and a passenger seated directly behind him. The young men even received road approval in the ČSSR for their “Krílo”—a motorized glider capable of speeds up to 70 km/h. In 2018, the vehicle reemerged from obscurity, though it was rusted, partially stripped of its parts, and in dire need of restoration.
