Ford Mustang 289 BTCC 1965/66 Brabham by Automodelli Studio
Ford Mustang 289 BTCC 65/66 Brabham
This Mustang, raced by Jack Brabham in British races throughout 1965 and 1966, was run by Alan Brown and had a fuel injected and apparently supercharged engine hidden beneath its bonnet. The kit details several races in a table for which there are decals and tells us that for the early events it ran with bumpers but they are to be omitted later on. Presumably to feed the blower, the car had large aluminium intake scoops beneath the bumper and these are supplied as etched parts to go with the familiar SMTS base kit components, the real car image in the instructions being your guide for fitting.

About Automodelli Studio
An interesting range of mostly Australian oriented subjects. Some subjects are based on other makers' castings where suitable (Marsh Models, Jemmpy & SMTS the most commonly used) while others are made entirely in house. Decals often laser or inkjet printed, but still with good bright colours and clarity. Most kits included
a modest amount of etched detailing. Made in Australia
