Ford Torino King Cobra 1970 Yellow by Avenue 43
The Mopar brands seriously upped the stakes in Nascar in 1970 with the aerodynamic Dodge Daytona and Plymouth Superbird and this dramatic machine was Ford's response. Early tests showed the the target of 200 mph was perfectly attainable but that the car was distinctly lacking in high speed stability and the project was soon scrapped with just three prototypes built. Tow of those cars survive and both have been smartly replicated by Avenue 43 as they are preserved today, with subtle detail differences between the two as well as the obvious colour differences.
