Porsche 356A 70th Carrera Pamamerica 1954 #53 Agfa 1:18 by BBR Concept18
Carrera Panamericana is a legendary Mexican border-to-border race. This race was so significant for Porsche that they later adopted the "Carrera" name for their highest-performing engines and models. For races like the Panamericana, these cars were stripped of excess weight and fitted with leather straps on the front trunk, stone guards over the headlights, and reinforced suspension to handle the brutal Mexican roads. Four versions were available. One of the most famous was the Porsche 356 with the prominent logo of the Eva Perón Foundation, a charitable organization founded by the late First Lady of Argentina.Car No. 162, on the other hand, typically featured a white livery, emblazoned with the words "Asociación Guatemala" (Guatemalteca Association). Models named after sponsors such as Agfa and Canada Shoes were also available.
