Ferrari 499P 7th Le Mans 2026 #83 AF Corse by BBR Concept43
At the 2026 24 Hours of Le Mans, Ferrari's three-car Hypercar campaign yielded vastly contrasting fates across its entries. The factory-entered #51 Ferrari 499P (Pier Guidi/Calado/Giovinazzi) overcame a pace deficit and an early drive-through penalty for contact with the #9 Proton entry to mount a resilient comeback drive, clocking a 351.8 km/h top speed and finishing 5th place overall (381 laps). Conversely, the sister factory #50 car (Fuoco/Nielsen/Molina) suffered a heart breaking Did Not Finish (DNF) after just 155 laps for a bizarre onboard fire extinguisher issue escalated into a terminal electronic failure. Meanwhile, the privateer yellow #83 AF Corse entry (Kubica/Ye/Hanson) enjoyed a mechanically sound, accident-free race. Charging all the way from 17th on the grid into the Top 5 at various closing stages, the Giallo Modena machine achieved a top speed of 350.7 km/h to secure a highly respectable 7th place overall (381 laps).
