The long history of the Ferrari 250 GTO, chassis number 3589, began in 1962.Michael Parkes, the first owner, competed in numerous races in 1962. This model represents the car with race number 5 that finished third in the Tourist Trophy at Goodwood, Great Britain. In that occasion the podium was featured by three different British drivers, all driving 250 GTO's for three different British teams. After a successful season on the track, at the end of 1962 it was purchased by Tom O'Connor in the United States who, after a few months of racing and many podiums, decided to donate it to Victoria High School in Texas in the USA in 1964.Fully BBR made in Italy product.
