Alfa Romeo 33/4 Phillip Island 1975 #33 by Bee Bop
Kit also available TRO287P
We saw a model of this car in restored form a few months ago and were a little confused as to what exactly it was. Help came from Dave Eames of Automodelli Studio in Australia who told us that Fred Gibson drove the car at Philip Island in 1975. With that info we are able to establish that the car here depicts the machine driven by Gibson to third overall in the Phillip Island sportscar race and also third in the Australian Sportscar Championship for 1975, which took place over one round! The model is very well finished with excellent paint and carefully placed decals, though those decals are almost all slightly oversized and one or two aren’t quite correct. Still, a very interesting piece of Alfa Romeo racing history.
