Alfa Romeo GrC Prototype 1989 by Bee Bop
Kit also available TRO290P
With a change to a 3.5 litre formula for the 1992 Group C season, a number of manufacturers already involved in F1 became interested as they had core units. Alfa Romeo weren’t racing in F1 at the time but they did have a 3.5 litre V10 from their still-born 164 Procar project and that found its way into the back of this Abarth designed and built machine. Sadly Group C imploded before it could race or test effectively but it remains a very good looking machine. The car was only ever finished in plain red and remains in that form in the Alfa Romeo museum. The model is well finished and the shape looks good. The detailing of the wings etc isn’t the finest, but it’s still an attractive model. Should you wish, the decals for the Alfa Romeo 100th anniversary roadshow are included.
