Lola T284 Le Mans 1975 #12 Schulthess/Bayard/Savary by Bizarre
The DFV-powered Lola is something of an oddity. Trying to look up chassis information there seems to be some confusion over whether or not it is actually a T284, or a T298 or a T286 but it was something else that caught our eyes initially. The wheels are fitted with three-eared knock-off spinners! The photos that we’ve found from Le Mans aren’t brilliantly clear but it does appear that this is authentic which must make it one of the last ‘current’ race car to run with such wheel fixings? Not that it affected the race, the chassis snapped long before the wheels could fall off! The body shape and decoration look pretty good when compared with these photos and there’s even a neat little etched cooling intake on the left hand side.

About Bizarre
Very well finished resincast models with production by Spark. As the name suggests, originally the range picked up on some of the more unusual race cars from motoring history. More recently the range has been fully absorbed by Spark and is used for Speed Record and other more niche subjects. Made in China.
