Austin Healey Sprite Le Mans 1965 #48 Donald Healey Motors by Bizarre
We saw Bizarre’s model of the class winning sister car (BIZ425) to this one in FSW 9/2010 and told then the story of how the cars were painted at the last minute in American military surplus green paint after a run in with the stewards over the original shade. Again we see a model with a deliberately dull paint finish to reflect the usage of this paint, with the original fluorescent colour visible around the filler neck. This car was a little less successful, retiring with transmission failure in the 22nd hour.

About Bizarre
Very well finished resincast models with production by Spark. As the name suggests, originally the range picked up on some of the more unusual race cars from motoring history. More recently the range has been fully absorbed by Spark and is used for Speed Record and other more niche subjects. Made in China.
