Talbot Lago T26 GS 2nd Le Mans 1951 #9 Meyrat/Mairesse by Bizarre
Talbot-Lago’s challenge at Le Mans in 1951 was led by Grand Prix drivers Rosier, Fangio, Gonzales and Marrimon in cars 6 & 7, but these quicker cars were unable to cope with the Jaguars on pace, fuel consumption or reliability, both over heating before half distance. Number 9 was entrusted to Meyrat and Mairesse and their rather more steady approach was rewarded with a hard earned second overall. Bizarre’s model is well finished and captures most of the details well but there were a number of differences between this car and the lead pair, most notably the exhaust which is incorrect on the model.

About Bizarre
Very well finished resincast models with production by Spark. As the name suggests, originally the range picked up on some of the more unusual race cars from motoring history. More recently the range has been fully absorbed by Spark and is used for Speed Record and other more niche subjects. Made in China.
