Rolls Royce Silver Wraith Cabriolet Fran by Carbone
ay 1948
The car modelled here, chassis LWAB63, was the first left hand drive Wraith and the original body was by Jacques Poberejsky. Rolls Royce aficionados describe the original coachwork as ‘ghastly’ and it was removed after a year or so and replaced with altogether more pleasing design by Franay, one of six drop head coupe’s they built on Silver Wraith chassis, each of them different. Today the car is a very well-known attendee of many concours events on both sides of the Atlantic, which means that there are plenty of photographs around and from these we can see that Carbone have done a very fine job.
