Delage D8-120 Cabrio Chapron 1939/46 Red/Blue
Chassis 51980 was one of the last Delage D8-120s to be laid down before the outbreak of war in 1939 and the unsold frame was apparently hidden away in Paris until it found its way to Henri Chapron in 1946 and was fitted with this magnificent body. The main finish is very fine metallic blue which really fizzes in the light and the wheel arch inserts, roof and interior contrast nicely in deep reds. The model is built to a very high standard and checks out pretty well with photos of the restored car at Pebble Beach a few years ago.
