Talbot Lago T26 Coupe Grand Sport Saoutc by Carbone - Chromes
hik 1948
Thirty six examples of the Talbot Lago T26 Grand Sport were built and Saoutchik was responsible for clothing a number of them with various degrees of flamboyance. Carbone say that this is chassis #110101 which currently resides in the Mullin Collection, but that car doesn’t have the chrome trim wrapped around the leading edge of the rear wing blister. The very similar car in the Louwman Museum does have the trim but not the rear over-riders. Perhaps a slight confusion on reference photos here? The shape of the car looks very good though and the two tone paint finish is excellent, as is the application of the various chrome trims.

About Carbone - Chromes
High quality resin & metal hand built models, usually of very rare coachbuilt machines on exotic chassis. Excellent level of finish puts them among the best 1:43 miniatures available. Presentation also very smart, usually with a wooden edged and leatherette insert to the display base. Production numbers in this series usually only in double figures, making for very rare pieces. Made in France.
