Delahaye 135 Cab Figoni El Glaoui Blue by Carbone - Chromes
Delahaye 135 Cabriolet Figoni & Falaschi `El Glaoui`
Alternative version CARCHR059 orange
This striking cabriolet is one of a series of eighteen similar cars created by Figoni & Falaschi on Delahaye chassis and dubbed ‘El Glaoui’ in honour of the Moroccan prince who had commissioned the first of them. Carbone have previously modelled the car as it was in 2007, finished in bright orange, but by 2012 it had been repainted in this rather more discrete dark metallic blue. The orange gauges remained in the dashboard though and this detail, along with plenty of others, has been neatly observed. The various chrome trims are all neatly applied, the paintwork is excellent and the fine etched window frames give a realistic scale thickness.

About Carbone - Chromes
High quality resin & metal hand built models, usually of very rare coachbuilt machines on exotic chassis. Excellent level of finish puts them among the best 1:43 miniatures available. Presentation also very smart, usually with a wooden edged and leatherette insert to the display base. Production numbers in this series usually only in double figures, making for very rare pieces. Made in France.
