Delahaye 135MS Cabriolet Ghia-Aigle 1948 by Carbone - Nickel
Ghia-Aigle coachworks was set up in 1947 by Swiss doctor Pierre-Paul Philippi with a license to use the Ghia name. The first design was on an Alfa Romeo chassis and this striking Delahaye was the second. It’s not classically beautiful, the enclosed wheels making it look a little heavy, but it is very much of the time. Carbone have captured the shape of the car very well and the deep metallic blue paint, which is seen on the restored car, suits it superbly. The trim on the model is all neatly fitted and it will look very smart in any collection of coachwork.
