Ferrari 250 TR 1st Nassau 1958 Martin by Tron-Club
The core parts of these very well finished Testa Rossas are derived from Starter’s old releases but with plenty of added fine detail where necessary, such as turned intake trumpets, hollow exhaust tips, photo-etched steering wheels and proper jewelled headlights behind vacformed covers. We don’t know how Jack McAfee got on in Stan Sugarman’s car at the Del Mar track in San Diego but Ed Martin won the Nassau Memorial Trophy in his car in 1958 and Wayne Burnett took a class win in his, by now, rather elderly TR in 1963 (not 1964 as listed by Tron, he ran with #95 that year). It’s the Nassau car that we have the best photos of and this is the most unusual, being painted in metallic blue and white. They’re all interesting subjects and make for something a little different.
