Peugeot 601 Aeroprofil 1934 by Esdo
This extremely unusual machine seems to be the work of Gaston Grummer, who produced a handful of similarly styled machines on a variety of chassis in the mid 1930s. His designs were a little too futuristic for most and at a time of financial difficulties in France, his coachworks closed in 1936. The most striking feature is the pitched roof with a tall windscreen and combined with wrap over side windows this would have provided a light interior. The kit is generally well cast in a hard polyester resin which shouldn’t take too much cleaning up for paint. There are a fair number of fine plated parts including a grille surround, and the framing for the front windscreen is etched. Building should be quite straightforward and the hand built model shows that the parts all go together well and it will certainly stand out.

About Esdo
Beautifully cast, very simple resin kits and hand-built models. Kits include some white metal parts, minimal photo-etch and basic but useful instructions. Some subjects slightly let down by the rather crude cast wheels. Built models generally well built. Made in France.
