Cord L-29 Coupe by Hayes 1929 Blue by Esval Models
This dramatic coupe was designed by Russian emigre Count Alexis de Sakhnoffsky for the Hayes body company as a promotional tool for the company and it did a good job, winning several concours events on a tour of Europe during 1930. Although restored at least twice during its life, each rebuild has been faithful to the original design and the light blue with gold pinstriping is authentic and not a modern addition. Esval’s model is very well proportioned and finished to a high standard with those stripes very neatly done and the fine trims all carefully placed.
