Ferrari 500 Mondial Trullo 54 #106 Said by Glamour
The Trullo d’Oro was a non-championship race in Italy and Syrian-born American racer Bob Said entered his newly acquired Ferrari 500 MD as the first of a number of European races that year, winning outright. The only photo from the race that we can find is on the model’s packaging, which shows the car passing one of the traditional conical stone buildings which gave the event its name. From this photo, the shape and decal placement look good on the model and panel engraving is very fine. A slightly unusual subject, nicely done.
