Ferrari 500 Mondial Sebring 1955 #50 by Glamour
Ecurie Yankee had two Ferraris entered for the 1955 Sebring 12 Hours, this one and a similar machine driven by Bob Said. Said was second, when he collided with an ambulance on its way to an accident, this car had a rather less spectacular race and was eventually classified forty third, despite the efforts of Masten Gregory who had swapped from the faster machine. The model is cleanly finished and the decoration matches the couple of race photos that we have found pretty well.
