Inside Shelby American: Wrenching and Racing with Carroll Shelby in the 1960s by Book

Inside Shelby American (Wrenching & Racing)
weight 900g by John Morton
John Mortons name is best known in connection with his successes in Trans-Am races through the 1970s and in sports cars in the 80s, but his career started in the 1960s at Shelby. He initially attended the Shelby Performance Driving School as a young student in 1962 and asked Shelby there and then for a job, which he got! This is a first-hand account of those early years working for the Texan, with a unique behind the scenes look at the workshops and also Morton’s own amateur racing in a Lotus 7 which impressed the boss enough for him to get a works Cobra drive.
