Road To Monaco, My Life In Motor Racing by Book
Weight 1.7kg by Howden Ganley
Howden Ganley started his racing career in his native New Zealand, his first outings in Ford specials before moving on to a Lotus XI. The early 60s saw the young Kiwi move to the UK and start work as a mechanic with various small teams before joining his fellow countryman Bruce McLaren. During his time at McLaren he was still racing and as a driver he is best known for having enjoyed success in F5000 and moving up to race for several F1 teams and also in sports cars at the highest levels in Europe and America. After his driving career ended he founded Tiga cars with Tim Schenken and another F1 project ensued here. The whole story is told in a very relaxed style, at times with very dry humour and there are plenty of photographs throughout, most from Ganley’s own collection.
