Stirling Moss, All My Races by Book
weight 2 kg By Sir Stirling Moss & Alan Henry
Between 1947 and 1962, Stirling Moss took part in 585 competitive events, starting with speed trials in his father's BMW 328 and racing everything from saloon cars up to Formula 1. Here Moss takes us through each and every one of those competitive starts and we are told what he was driving, how he finished (if at all), start number and details of the actual event. There is then a description of the event from Moss's own perspective, at times brutally honest with his own performance. It makes for interesting reading and we see how hard the young up and coming driver and his crew had to work. Two days between events on Jersey and in Gloucestershire with an engine change in between anyone? It all comes to an abrupt halt at Goodwood in 1962, just as Moss's professional career did.
