Book of the Ferrari 288 GTO by Book

Weight 2kg by Joe Sackey
Author Joe Sackey is well placed to write about Ferrari’s highly desirable 288 GTO, being an owner and having been involved in the restoration of many high end supercars, whether Ferraris or other marques. This is an extremely detailed look at the car launched in 1984 and built to Group B regulations for sportscar racing. It may not have enjoyed the competition success that it was designed with in mind but it has become an important part of Ferrari history. The development story is well told and there are plenty of excellent photographs both of cars now and of them during design and build in the 1980s. Original owners’ hand books and service manuals are reproduced in full too and these give an excellent insight into the mechanical complexities of the beast. One for the serious Ferrari fan.
