Anthony Pritchard has written many books on Maserati and the 250F in particular and this is his largest work on the racer, though sadly one that he didn’t get to see in print as he passed away shortly after delivering the manuscript. After a brief introduction to the marque and a look at the smaller single seaters of the early Fifties, the text takes us through the racing history of these great cars on an event by event basis, with details of each chassis involved. Towards the end of the book there are also individual chassis histories and the Cameron Millar facsimiles are included in this. There are a huge number of photos throughout, most from the lens of Tom March and many of these images are unfamiliar to us.
