We’ve been aware that this book has been in progress for some years and the subject has been a passion for the author for over four decades as he has researched Bugatti’s magnificent racers and collected all manner of material connected with them, from books to models. This is a brave and radical work which contradicts much of the conventional wisdom passed down over the years and proves pretty conclusively the close relationship between the cars known as normal Type 57s, 57Gs and the Type 59 Grand Prix machines. As well as detailed text there are a huge number of images with period photographs, technical drawings courtesy of the Bugatti Trust and photographs of models too.
