Aston Martin, Model by Model by Book
For the most part this is a chronological history of the cars of Aston Martin from the original company set up by Lionel Martin and Robert Bamford nearly a century ago to the One-77 and similar high tech machinery now coming out of Gaydon. We said ’for the most part’ as for a while there was parallel production with the traditional cars at Newport Pagnell and the DB7 line at Bloxham and these are treated separately. Every major production model is profiled individually with excellent photos and specifications and many of the more significant specials are also singled out. The majority of the images are of restored cars in the modern era and these show the designs at their best. It’s not the heftiest tome, but it’s well thought out and makes an excellent one stop reference for the marque.
