Originally published in 1968, this tells the story of the battle between Ford and Ferrari which began in earnest in 1964 after the former had failed in their attempt to purchase the latter. As is common for books of the era, printing costs limited the number of images used so illustration is fairly sparse by modern standards. It’s still a very good read though and gives a first hand view of the action as it took place rather than a rose tinted nostalgic view that we might see had it been written about the period today. We have had the original in our library for decades and it is still one that we turn to from time to time.
