weight 1.3kg by Peter Redman & friendsPeter Redman was a teenager living just a few miles from the Goodwood estate when the first motor race was held on the perimeter road of the former RAF Westhampnet in 1948 and barely missed a meeting there in the following eighteen years. This is a very personal look at those early races with first hand memories from the author and many of the friends that he made in the area and through visiting the race meetings. Those contacts have also contributed many atmospheric photographs which really bring those early races to life and the author uses his skills as a graphic artist to recreate some of the more dramatic scenes which unfolded. Fascinating reading.
Over the years we have created a library here at GPM and many collectors regularly ask us which books we use most and which are the most reliable source of information. We offer quality titles selected for their reference material content.
