Inside The Archives by Book
weight 1.6kg by Jesse Alexander
Jesse Alexander's career as a photographer spanned over fifty years and in that time he has amassed many hundreds of thousands of images, some of which are very familiar and much published, others have never met the public eye. Here Alexander dives into his archives and chooses a fabulous selection of images from the mid-1950s through to the mid -1960s. The photos aren't all from Alexander's own camera, we also see the work of his friends and colleagues such as Julius Weitmann (who we also see lying on the edge of the track at the Nurburgring to get his shot) and Dennis Jenkinson. The images are a mix of colour and black and white and the reproduction is excellent throughout. This is by no means a definitive photo history of anything, but it is a book of great beauty and just a nice thing for any racing enthusiast to have. What better reason could there be for adding this to your library?
