In 1987, Indian born jeweller from Trinidad Dave Maraj visited Champion Motors in Florida to buy a fuel pump for his Porsche 911 and ended up buying the entire dealership. After a shaky start, within a decade he had built the largest Porsche agency in the US and a key part of his success was to use motorsport as a promotional tool. Today Champion Racing appears at Le Mans as Audi Sport North America but many of the key personnel have been there since the early days and it is very much the same team. This huge volume tells the story of the team from the early days through to being regular winners around the world in major sportscar events. It’s all well written (as we’d expect from such a well-respected author) and beautifully illustrated.
