In order to improve stability at high speeds the Porsche 917K gained new rear bodywork during the 1971 season, the most obvious change to which were a pair of fins at the rear. It is clear from looking at the these two that Ixo started afresh with patterns each time as the entire car is quite different, not just the rear. The Martini car is the better proportioned of the models and is also the more accurate in terms of colours, the 1970 Salzburg car being finished in a coral colour rather than traditional red as it should be. The decal placement and actual build quality on both is fine though.
