Ferrari 500 1st UK 1953 #5 Ascari by Jade Miniatures
Scoring for the 1953 World Championship only counted the best four results from nine possible races and with five wins and three fastest laps, Alberto Ascari finished the year just one point off a perfect score. One of those wins came Silverstone and Jade's very well finished hand built model captures the long-nose variant of the car very well. Suspension is folded up from delicate etch and the wire wheels are very fine as usual from this range. A kit is also available (JAD43112) and this offers multiple alternative race and driver options.

About Jade Miniatures
A well established range of well thought out kits and hand built models of competition cars, mostly from the golden era of the 1950s and 60s. The kits are generally pretty simple with well cast resin bodies, small numbers of resin and white metal ancillaries and a modest amount of etch. In the case of open wheeled subjects, the etch usually includes most or all of the suspension. Hand builts generally well finished. Made in France.
