Tec Mec Maserati F415 Sebring 1959 by Jade Miniatures
The Tec-Mec was a project started by Collotti when he worked for Maserati and taken with him when he left to start his own company. The principles were good, a small lightweight car using the proven Maserati 250F drivetrain but it was too late in the face of the advances made by Cooper and Lotus in particular, being spectacularly outclassed in its one competitive outing at Sebring for the US GP. The model captures the basic line and decoration of the car well and, as will all recent Jade hand builts, is very well finished.

About Jade Miniatures
A well established range of well thought out kits and hand built models of competition cars, mostly from the golden era of the 1950s and 60s. The kits are generally pretty simple with well cast resin bodies, small numbers of resin and white metal ancillaries and a modest amount of etch. In the case of open wheeled subjects, the etch usually includes most or all of the suspension. Hand builts generally well finished. Made in France.
