HWM Alta 1st Silverstone 1952 #31 Macklin by Jade Miniatures
HWM Alta International Trophy 1952 #31 Macklin
Many other built options available.
One of several options in Jade's kit of the HWM Alta is Lance Macklin’s International Trophy winner from Silverstone. The race had a huge entry of forty two, though a handful (including the works Ferraris) withdrew at short notice. It was still a strong field and required heats and a final to settle matters. Jade’s hand built model is generally well finished and includes the small aluminium shutters that were fitted to the radiator grille to restrict airflow on a cool English spring afternoon.

About Jade Miniatures
A well established range of well thought out kits and hand built models of competition cars, mostly from the golden era of the 1950s and 60s. The kits are generally pretty simple with well cast resin bodies, small numbers of resin and white metal ancillaries and a modest amount of etch. In the case of open wheeled subjects, the etch usually includes most or all of the suspension. Hand builts generally well finished. Made in France.
