Gordini T16S Belgium/Europe 1952 Claes by Jade Miniatures
The Belgian and European Grand Prix of 1952 were the same race and this closed wheel sports model Gordini was an unusual entry among the open wheeled Formula 2 mahcines, eventually finishing eighth in the hands of Johnny Claes. For the single seater race a solid tonneau was fitted and the lights covered over and these details are cast into the bodyshell. The main surfaces and panel engraving are extremely clean, though there are a few feed tags and bits of excess resin to remove underneath to get the body and base plate fitting well. That done it will be a very straightforward build.

About Jade Miniatures
A well established range of well thought out kits and hand built models of competition cars, mostly from the golden era of the 1950s and 60s. The kits are generally pretty simple with well cast resin bodies, small numbers of resin and white metal ancillaries and a modest amount of etch. In the case of open wheeled subjects, the etch usually includes most or all of the suspension. Hand builts generally well finished. Made in France.
