Gordini T16S Belgium 1952 #18 Claes by Jade Miniatures
The Belgian Grand Prix in 1952 was also the Grand Prix of Europe and among the open wheeled Formula 2 cars Gordini’s numbers were swelled by Johhny Claes in a closed wheel sports car. His qualifying pace wasn’t stellar but a solid race saw him finish eighth at the flag. The car was fitted with a solid tonneau cover and body coloured headlight covers and these details, along with the general shape and decal placement all look good when compared with race photos. An interesting and unusual Grand Prix entry.

About Jade Miniatures
A well established range of well thought out kits and hand built models of competition cars, mostly from the golden era of the 1950s and 60s. The kits are generally pretty simple with well cast resin bodies, small numbers of resin and white metal ancillaries and a modest amount of etch. In the case of open wheeled subjects, the etch usually includes most or all of the suspension. Hand builts generally well finished. Made in France.
