Austin Healey Sprite Mk1 Alpine 58 #101 by K & R Replicas
John Sprinzel was often a works driver in the late 50s and early 60s but this Sprite was a private entry on the Alpine Rally, Sprinzel and Cave finishing fifteenth overall and first in the up to 1 litre class. The kit parts are K&R’s familiar well proportioned Sprite components and should be a relatively simple build. The roof is a separate piece, which will significantly simplify painting and they have even included tiny etched ‘Sprinzel’ badges to go on the front wings, though these aren’t shown on the rather generic instruction sheet.

About K & R Replicas
Well cast and easy to build, if rather crude, metal kits. Usually accurate though occasionally a bit odd. Wire wheels of the self - assembly type. Decals, when included, often slightly yellow (typical of many English makers) but will bleach with exposure to u.v. light. Now including a little more photo-etch. Made in England.
