Austin A30 RAC 1955 Sprinzel by K & R Replicas
John Sprinzel’s cars seem to be featuring heavily in K&R’s recent releases and here we see his first ever rally car. The Austin A30 was his mother’s daily driver and he borrowed it to enter the RAC rally, finishing an impressive sixth in class at the first attempt. We’ve seen plenty of A30s and A35s from K&R over the years and the kit is based on familiar well proportioned parts. Being basically a road car, decoration is simply race numbers and number plates over a single colour paint finish.

Well cast and easy to build, if rather crude, metal kits. Usually accurate though occasionally a bit odd. Wire wheels of the self - assembly type. Decals, when included, often slightly yellow (typical of many English makers) but will bleach with exposure to u.v. light. Now including a little more photo-etch. Made in England.
