Austin Healey 100S Carrera Panamerica 1954 #7/8 Mackin/Shelby by K & R Replicas
K&R have a rich stock of well proportioned patterns to draw on and here they have taken their Healey 100 to create several interesting race versions. In recent new kits they have been including kit form wire wheels, so we were a little disappointed to see cast 'wires' in two of these kits. The odd one out is the Sebring car which ran on Dunlop disc wheels, so no issue here, but you may wish to substitute BBR wheels (BBRR24) on the others. There are two options in the Carrera PanAmericana kit, the green car of Lance Maklin or Carroll Shelby's white and blue machine. The Liege-Sofia-Liege car is in a similar white and blue and two tone paint finishes will be needed for both.

About K & R Replicas
Well cast and easy to build, if rather crude, metal kits. Usually accurate though occasionally a bit odd. Wire wheels of the self - assembly type. Decals, when included, often slightly yellow (typical of many English makers) but will bleach with exposure to u.v. light. Now including a little more photo-etch. Made in England.
