MG PA Le Mans 1935 #55/56/57 by K & R Replicas
George Easton hit on the idea of entering an all female team at Le Mans in 1935 to promote the MG Midget, with six drivers in three cars, all of which finished. This kit offers decals for all of the three but the instructions don’t help with colours for the pitlane identification flashes on the leading edges of the front wings. The one version photographed in the instructions shows these as white on #55, but that version should have none, #56 white and #57 yellow. Easily dealt with during the build. The kit parts themselves are relatively complex for a K&R kit, largely as the bodywork is broken down into several small pieces. Particular care will be needed with the front wings which are cast to the chassis on very thin and soft white metal stays. The wire wheels are in kit form and no obvious aftermarket alternatives are available. One for the more competent builder.

About K & R Replicas
