Sunbeam Alpine Monte 1960 #111 Backlund by K & R Replicas
Another old favourite from K&R, their Sunbeam Alpine, makes an appearance here as the class winning car from the 1960 Monte Carlo rally. The main castings are clean and generally well proportioned, though one or two details are a little dated. Wheels have been updated with kit form wires which build up nicely providing you’re careful. Two dashboards are included in our kit and the instructions appear to suggest that the right-hand-drive version should be used. It shouldn’t! This Swedish entered car was left-hand-drive so use the correct part.

Well cast and easy to build, if rather crude, metal kits. Usually accurate though occasionally a bit odd. Wire wheels of the self - assembly type. Decals, when included, often slightly yellow (typical of many English makers) but will bleach with exposure to u.v. light. Now including a little more photo-etch. Made in England.
