Ferrari 553 Squalo Belgium 1954 Farina by K & R Replicas
The origins of K&R’s Ferrari Squalo kit takes us back to their early days as a kit maker and though simple, the kit has stood the test of time pretty well. One major improvement is that these kits now include kit form wire wheels with etched spokes and cast hubs and rims and these will be the most fiddly part of the build. They turn out well in the end though. Two decal options are offered, the cars of Farina or Gonzalez, neither of whom finished the race.

Well cast and easy to build, if rather crude, metal kits. Usually accurate though occasionally a bit odd. Wire wheels of the self - assembly type. Decals, when included, often slightly yellow (typical of many English makers) but will bleach with exposure to u.v. light. Now including a little more photo-etch. Made in England.
