Cooper Bristol Mk1 3rd UK 1952 Hawthorn by K & R Replicas
Mike hawthorn made his first race start in a Cooper at Goodwood during the Easter meeting of 1952 and immediately made a name for himself, winning first time out. The car was initially unpainted but a month later appeared finished in a dark British racing green. Hawthorn won the first heat of the International Trophy at Silverstone but retired in the final, having set fastest lap. He was soon on the grand prix scene too and finished third in the British Grand Prix, a result he repeated in the non-championship Daily Mail Trophy at Boreham. The kit parts are all very similar and will be simple builds to replicate these cars.

About K & R Replicas
Well cast and easy to build, if rather crude, metal kits. Usually accurate though occasionally a bit odd. Wire wheels of the self - assembly type. Decals, when included, often slightly yellow (typical of many English makers) but will bleach with exposure to u.v. light. Now including a little more photo-etch. Made in England.
