This is another basic pattern that we’ve seen a few times from K&R over the years, the original going back to the early days of the company. There have been a few upgrades over time and these include photo-etched parts for the dash panel and the spokes of the wire wheels, which are supplied in kit form. Each kit offers multiple options and in a convenient symmetry, Hawthorn finished second at both Silverstone and Monza. Also included in the Monza car is the option of the car shared by Maglioli and Gonzalez who were second and that of Ascari who retired, while in the Silverstone kit there is Trintignant’s fifth placed car.

Well cast and easy to build, if rather crude, metal kits. Usually accurate though occasionally a bit odd. Wire wheels of the self - assembly type. Decals, when included, often slightly yellow (typical of many English makers) but will bleach with exposure to u.v. light. Now including a little more photo-etch. Made in England.
