Cooper Bristol UK 1953 #18 Stewart by K & R Replicas
We see three subtly different body styles with these four kits. The Ecurie Richmond cars were unchanged between the International Trophy and Swiss GP but Hawthorn’s French GP mount has a very different scoop and louvre arrangement, as does Jimmie Stewart’s Ecurie Ecosse mount from the British GP. It is those detail changes that make these kits significant, the race results weren’t the most glorious with only the Swiss entries seeing the chequered flag.

About K & R Replicas
Well cast and easy to build, if rather crude, metal kits. Usually accurate though occasionally a bit odd. Wire wheels of the self - assembly type. Decals, when included, often slightly yellow (typical of many English makers) but will bleach with exposure to u.v. light. Now including a little more photo-etch. Made in England.
