Triumph TR4 Monte Carlo 1963 #40 Thuner/Gretener by K & R Replicas
Triumph’s main factory effort on the Monte in 1963 was with the new Vitesse (KAR210) but they did also enter a TR4 for Thuner, who finished albeit well down the order. The decals in the kit offer two other options but the instructions only mention a driver name for one of them and there is no number to correspond. We also can’t find any other TR4s in the record books for this year, though as most will go for the works car anyway this probably isn’t an issue. The kit parts are typically well cast and the kit should build nicely.

Well cast and easy to build, if rather crude, metal kits. Usually accurate though occasionally a bit odd. Wire wheels of the self - assembly type. Decals, when included, often slightly yellow (typical of many English makers) but will bleach with exposure to u.v. light. Now including a little more photo-etch. Made in England.
