Porsche 917K 1st Le Mans 1970 #23 Attwood/Herrmann 1:18 by KK Scale
Never mind the quality, check out the price! Although, in fact, this is a very decent replica by any measure, and not just in terms of value for money. Depicting the 1970 Le Mans winner driven by Richard Attwood and Hans Herrmann, it's a hefty diecast-metal piece that nicely finished and has a very acceptable level of detail. There's a distinct break between the cabin and the tail section that at first suggests the latter may lift off but in fact it's merely a join between components and this is what's known as a 'kerbside' model: no opening panels and no trick features other than slightly poseable front wheels. Nevertheless, the car's striking graphics have been very well applied, and it's good to see that KK Scale stumped up the licensing fee to include the Goodyear logo on the tyres. Porsche fans should be well pleased.
