VW Combi Team Arundell by MEA Kit 43
Running from his family's Grand Prix Garage premises in Hornchurch, Essex, like many in period Peter Arundell carried his lower formulae Lotus race cars on a converted VW pickup, the car only just fitting with the nose poking out through the cover on the rear. One of a great series of Lotus related subjects from MEA, this is perhaps a little crude in places but a charming addition for the serious Lotus collector.

About MEA Kit 43
An interesting range initially specialising in 1:43 motorcycles. The nature of the subjects and the size of many of the parts mean that these are best suited to those with good eyesight! Casting quality can be variable and this combined with the size puts them firmly in the 'for the experienced modeller' category.
Alongside the bikes are a number of Dakar raid subjects and early Lotus race cars, again offered as kits and hand builts. SPL series are hand built only and concentrate on very unusual race cars. Build quality is variable, basic and nowhere near the class leaders. They are usually presented in recycled Spark cases. Very interesting subject matter though.
Made in France.
